What Do We Do With Wood Chips
What Happens to the Wood Chips After Your Tree Service?
When you hire a tree service, the process often generates a significant amount of debris, particularly wood chips. At Skyline Tree Service, one of the most common questions we receive is: "What do you do with all those wood chips?".
The answer depends entirely on the specific needs of the job and the preferences of the client.
Your Options: Keep Them or Haul Them
Every property is different, and we provide flexibility based on what works best for you:
- Hauling Away (Standard Practice): Most residential clients prefer to have the debris removed once the job is complete. In these cases, we simply haul the chips away for you.
- Keeping the Chips: If you have a use for them, we are happy to leave the chips on-site. This is a popular option for farm properties or clients who want to use the material for landscaping or mulch.
How the Process Works
If you decide to keep the chips, our team, led by our lead arborist, Justin, takes care of the logistics. For example, if a client requests the material, we will:
- Unhook our wood chipper from the service truck.
- Drive the truck to your designated area, such as a back lot.
- Dump the load exactly where you need it.
More Than Just Chips
In addition to wood chips, we can also manage larger debris according to your needs. If you use a fireplace or wood-burning stove, we can leave logs behind to be used as firewood rather than hauling them off-site.
Whether you want a clean slate or a fresh pile of mulch for your property, Skyline Tree Service is here to work with you. If you have questions about an upcoming project, don’t hesitate to visit our website or give us a call.
